Letterbox Shadows is a shadow puppetry performance combining projected animation with live shadow puppets worked to accompany other music artists.
Originally from Qld, Vic Farrell is a singer-songwriter who has performed at Folk Festivals and venues across Australia since 1987. In 2010 she started a new project called Letterbox Shadows as part of the Letterbox Music indie-music residency at the Wesley Anne and Open Studio (Northcote, Melbourne).
Merry Prain is a Melbourne based singer song writer. She plays in punk pop band Slacquer, folk rock band Who is Mr Jones? and the Fancy Yourself Fiddling Orchestra. She is a regular attender at old timey and bluegrass jam sessions and regularly accompanies local Melbourne musicians on fiddle and double bass.
